Ricki "Ricasso" Nelson's first language is storytelling. A Southern-born, now New York-based filmmaker, she crafts character-driven narratives rooted in identity, intimacy, and small-town secrets. Her award-winning short film Thank You for Your Time has screened at festivals nationwide. Ricki has worked over five years in the film industry, worked across the industry as a Showrunner's Assistant, Production Office Coordinator, and Director's Assistant. As the founder of Black Creatives Social Club and co-founder of SKRAPPI Productions, she continues to cultivate spaces for creativity, collaboration, and community-while telling the stories she's always wanted to see.
