MaryLanae Linen is a filmmaker and writer whose work explores identity, heritage, and the resilience of Black communities. A USC MFA graduate, she creates character-driven stories grounded in culture and emotional truth. She is currently developing Heritage, a thriller inspired by the Gullah Geechee people, and is committed to elevating marginalized voices through bold, purposeful storytelling. She is passionate about bringing more complex Black characters to the screen.
