Maya Simone is a creative based in North and South Carolina. In 2025, she was named a South Carolina Emerging Artist and received Uptilt Film Fest’s Silberman Family Emerging Filmmaker Scholarship. She's an alumna of Gotham EDU's Career Development Program, a Martian Blueberry + HBCU 20x20 Writer's fellow, and her films have screened at various festivals, including the Cucalorus Film Festival.
